Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Location: Haymarket, VA 20169 (Float between Haymarket and Manassas - home base Haymarket; schedule released in advance)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule/Shift: Monday - Friday 4x10-hour shifts, start time 8:00 AM; Weekend rotation once every 5–6 weekends

Salary Range: $71,000 – $115,000

The Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology provides patient-centered care by collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care. The RN is accountable for managing and providing care according to hospital policies and procedures, documenting care accurately, and supporting both patients and their families. This role also involves mentoring and orienting new staff and maintaining professional, collaborative relationships with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and their families while implementing the interdisciplinary plan of care
• Assess, analyze, and modify care strategies for optimal outcomes
• Prioritize and perform nursing interventions based on patient needs and acuity
• Administer and evaluate medications according to protocols
• Provide routine and specialized nursing care (IV insertion, dressing changes, patient transfers)
• Assist in critical situations such as code responses and CPR
• Safely operate patient care equipment (monitors, commodes, wheelchairs, stretchers)
• Communicate patient care plans clearly and compassionately
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality
• Mentor, precept, and orient new staff and students
• Educate patients and their support systems on treatment plans, medications, and health promotion

Required Skills / Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Critical Care or ER experience
• ACLS & BLS certification
• VA RN License

Preferred Skills

• ICU experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
